For Donor Conceived, NPE, & MPE People & Families
As donor-conceived people (DCP), and those with MPE (misattributed parentage experience)/NPE (non-parental event/not parent expected) share their perspectives, our larger community is coming to recognize that others can encounter similar experiences to those faced by AFK individuals. By some estimates, there are over one million donor-conceived people (sperm, egg, embryo, double donation) in the United States and the field remains largely unregulated. Still others are experiencing DNA discoveries and seeking biological relatives with direct-to-consumer genetic testing. These can be life-altering experiences. It is a critical time for information and support. There are resources available for those who identify with these experiences - and you certainly aren’t alone.

Therapy & Coaching- For Donor-Conceived (DC), NPE, & MPE Individuals & families
Therapy is available for those actively trying to process, understand, and/or come to terms with aspects of their personal history. Navigating our genetic history and processing DNA discoveries can create specific needs from a therapist - someone with lived experience is uniquely suited to help you along your journey. If you are not looking for counseling at this time, coaching (short-term, action-focused) might be a good fit for you. More information here.
